From 2019 to 2028, the global dairy market is expected to grow at a moderate rate of about 5%. A growing population is one of the major factors driving the demand for dairy products such as milk, cheese, and butter. Global consumption of dairy products is also expected to be boosted by rising disposable incomes and health concerns. Milk production has grown rapidly in recent years. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), global milk production has grown nearly 2.0% in 2020 to reach a volume of 906 million tons. Milk production has increased primarily due to improved yields, an increase in dairy cattle numbers, and strong global demand.
