An RV that is built to be connected to another RV is called a fifth wheel. This coupling mechanism, which resembles a horseshoe, can be mounted in pickup vehicles as well as semi-trucks. The majority of fifth-wheel RVs are transported using pickup trucks with a fifth wheel in the truck bed. Camper or trailer RVs, which attach to a regular trailer hitch and are often much smaller, should not be mistaken with fifth wheels. Moreover, they are distinct from motorized recreational vehicles (RVs), commonly referred to as motorhomes, which are fully self-contained motorized vehicles that aren’t pulled by a truck.
